BBQ Dry Rub Barbecue Seasoning Recipe

This dry rub recipe is an excellent starting point for great barbecue. Try it on chicken wings, chicken breast or ribs.

1 cup paprika
1/2 cup chili powder
1/2 cup cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoon thyme
2 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon salt

Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Reserve until needed.

Makes About 3 Cups.

    I was looking at your barbeque dry rub and your photos of your barbeque and how you like lots of smoke. Let me just say that if you have access to Hickory Trees..Never use the wood always use the HICKORY NUTS! Even to the extend of collecting them and freezing them so you will have access year round!

    The nut burst open in the charcoal flames and the Oils from the Hickory Nuts seep into the meat! I have always done this as my grandmother did in the 1800’s so give it a try! You’ll be glad you did!
