Coriander is another popular spice used around the world. The leafs of the plant are known as “cilantro” and used extensively in Middle Eastern Cuisine as well as in Asian Cuisine. The seeds have a mild citrus flavor and are very fragrant. In Middle Eastern countries ground coriander is combined with other spices to create “Garam Masala” which is a type of curry.
