Hello, Chef Brian here. I would like to invite you to check out my cooking videos on youtube.com:

The poblano pepper is key to the cuisine of Mexico, used numerous ways including in sauces, stews and also large enough to stuff. The pablano pepper is a medium sized pepper with a mild to medium heat level which makes it fantastic for use in the kitchen. If you are just starting to enjoy cooking with peppers this is the pepper to start with simply because it is very flavorful without as much heat as a serrano, chipotle or jalapeno.

Why do you have to peel the pablano chiles? Is it due to the taste or does the flesh get hard? What is the reason behind it?
