I’ve made several delicious dishes with this pot and consider this braiser an excellent buy. I find it much cuter than Le Creuset and it is only a fraction of the price. My only criticism is that the lid could fit more tightly. However, I get around this problem by putting a sheet of crumpled parchment paper on top of my stews to redirect all the moisture back down to the food. After trying the braiser, I purchased another DBK pot, the oval cocotte. With the money you save on this pot (versus Le Creuset or Staub), you could splurge on a lot of short ribs and have a great dinner with friends!

To be honest, I expected something how shall I say, cheap looking, but instead when I opened the package I could not believe the beauty and quality of this pot. I absolutely love it and I will definetly be ordering it again for a Christmas present for my sister and more of these quality cast iron cookware for myself. I highly recommend this merchandise and the price is absolutely marvelous for what you get for it.
