Factory-Reconditioned Wolfgang Puck BLGL0025 Panini Maker with Removable Plates
Customer Review: Awesome product! Need to buy it new & not refurbished.
If you buy a refurbished model, you can’t complain on what is broken. I have one of these Panini WP removable plates. I just love mine. I use it all the time. Wolfgang Pucks grill is 100 percent better than the other brand grill. Other brand grills didn’t hold anything & everything came out really dry. I replaced it with Wolfgang Pucks Removable plates panini maker and I can’t even give the other one away. Nobody even wants the other grill. I love to make Panini sub sandwhiches that you would normally purchase at Sub Shops. Now you can make them at home a lot cheaper. Totally Awesome. I don’t ever use my outdoor grill anymore since I have purchased this grill. I am even going to purchase his Grill/Griddle as well. Afer my Panini purchase, I purchased other items as well. All meat comes out nicely seared & brown on both sides, cooked evenly & VERY VERY JUICY!!!!!! THIS PANINI GRILL IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET. I WAS IMPRESSED. Can not go wrong with Wolfgang Pucks products. 10 STARS IF I COULD. Grill locks tight together & can be stored on it’s side, the width of a toaster. You can’t do that with a other brand Grills. To me, there is no comparison. The eveness, flavor & juicy steaks, hamburgers and chicken all speaks for itself. AWESOME… AWESOME….AWESOME….HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Customer Review: hotter than foreman
This thing is big. Real big, especially compared to the old foreman I needed to replace. But it also looks good, and stores on its side to take up less counter space. It’s also pretty heavy… I suppose because it’s all metal, and has heavy duty grill plates (from what I can tell much heavier than the foreman’s.) It seems to be very solidly built. Some others have complained that the tabs that hold the grills on seem pretty flimsy… I’m not sure, but will most certainly take care not to yank too hard when using them. It takes a long time to heat up (10 minutes at the highest level), and also takes a lot longer than my old gf to cool down. Because of this, as well as its size, it does tend to heat up the kitchen a lot more than my old gf ever did. The fact that it’s hinged in the middle is nice,as that keeps the 2 grill plates horizontal to each other regardless of the thickness of what you throw on. The burger test: I made 2 similar 8 ounce burgers and grilled one on the old gf, and the other on the wp (after heating up both grills.) Moving my hand near the grills the wp seemed to be noticibly hotter. The gf booklet says 8 minutes for an 8 ounce burger but I took them off a bit after 4. The difference between them when they came off was striking. The wp burger, because of the weight of the top grill, had been flattened more than the gf burger. While the gf burger had those famous grill lines, the wp burger actually seemed to be seared on the entire top and bottom surfaces. The gf burger was still somewhat raw on the inside. The wp burger was fully cooked, and in fact probably could have come off a bit sooner. The angle on the wp is not as steep as on the gf, so there does seem to be more puddling than draining on the lower grill. It cleans up nicely with wet paper towels without popping the grills off, but they do pop off easily and clean up in a jiffy. Just be careful if they haven’t cooled down yet; you might want to use an oven mitt or dish towel. Conclusion: it’s big, heavy, slow, and hot (hmmm… sounds like gf in the rumble in the jungle.) Seems like a pretty good purchase for $40.
